The Apartment Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and other property facilities are in good working order. Responsibilities include preparing apartments for move-in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units; electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; plumbing, carpentry, and locks. The Apartment Maintenance Technician follows a planned preventative maintenance schedule and follows up with residents after repairs are complete. Senior PostgreSQL/Redis Database Administrator

Job Description: We are looking for a Senior PostgreSQL/Redis Database Administrator with hands-on expertise across relational and in-memory database platforms. This role supports high-volume OLTP systems and mission-critical production environments, covering SQL Server and Redis administration as well as PostgreSQL on AWS. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with day-to-day operational support and longer-term platform improvement initiatives, working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced enterprise setting. Responsibilities: Database Operations: Administer and optimize SQL Server databases — performance tuning, index management, query plan analysis, backup/restore, and HA/DR configuration. Manage PostgreSQL deployments on AWS (RDS / Aurora) — provisioning, vacuum/autovacuum tuning, connection pooling (PgBouncer), replication, and failover. Administer Redis clusters — replication, eviction policies, Sentinel/Cluster configuration, and performance tuning. Support VLDBs and high-volume OLTP environments; perform capacity planning for storage, IOPS, and throughput. Cloud & Infrastructure: Manage database infrastructure on AWS — RDS, Aurora PostgreSQL, EC2-hosted instances, parameter groups, and cost optimization. Use Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices for repeatable database provisioning and configuration management. Implement and test HA strategies — Multi-AZ, Aurora clusters, point-in-time recovery (PITR), and cross-region DR runbooks. Support & Collaboration: Triage complex database incidents; perform root cause analysis and drive resolution across distributed, multi-platform environments. Manage work via ServiceNow and JIRA; adhere to change management procedures and SLA commitments. Automate routine DBA tasks using PowerShell and Python — health checks, alerting, maintenance jobs, and reporting. Monitor database health using Foglight and cloud-native tools; set up alerting for performance anomalies and capacity thresholds. Experience (Required): 7 years of production database administration experience. Strong SQL Server administration — Always On AG, replication, SSIS, performance tuning, and security. 3 years of Redis administration in a production environment. Hands-on PostgreSQL DBA experience — preferably on AWS RDS / Aurora. 5 years of AWS experience; comfortable with RDS, EC2, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch. PowerShell scripting for automation and operational tasks. Familiarity with Active Directory and database-level security practices Experience (Desired): Experience with Terraform for database infrastructure provisioning. Knowledge of Foglight, Cohesity, or similar monitoring and backup tools. Exposure to OpenShift or container-based database deployments. ServiceNow for ITSM and change management workflows.
