Hearing Officer The New York City Housing Authority’s Office of Impartial Hearings is seeking candidates for Hearing Officer positions. The Office of Impartial Hearings (OIH) is an administrative tribunal which conducts hearings. The OIH is a fast-paced environment and has a demanding workload. The Hearing Examiner/Officer must be fair, impartial, disinterested, and ensure that litigants are afforded due process. The Hearing Examiner/Officer must ensure that administrative hearings adhere to the procedural requirements of Federal Consent Decrees which gave rise to the administrative hearing process. Under administrative supervision, with considerable latitude for independent action and decision making, the successful candidate will conduct formal hearings, render written decisions, and issue subpoenas on the following: Termination Tenancy Leased Housing/Section 8 Subsidy Grievances Remaining Family Member Tenant Initiated, such as Rent Grievances and Reasonable Accommodation Requests Leased Housing/Section 8 Voucher Holders, such as Rent Share Calculation and Section 8 Reasonable Accommodation Requests Over-Income Appeals Applicant or Trespass Tenant Reasonable Accommodation Requests Duties and responsibilities include the following: Conduct formal administrative hearings relating to, inter alia, NYCHA-initiated termination of tenancy proceedings involving allegations of non-desirability, breach of rules and regulations, chronic breach of rules and regulations, violation of probation, violation of permanent exclusion, chronic rent delinquency, non-verifiable income, assignment and transfer of possession and misrepresentation; remaining family member grievances (succession claims), rent determination grievances, Section 8 termination of subsidy proceedings and Section 8 share of rent or monthly housing assistance proceedings. Render a written decision at the conclusion of each administrative hearing. The written decision must include the charges as applicable, all relevant issues raised at the hearing by testimony and evidence presented, specific findings as to whether the charges have been proven and a disposition. Conduct legal research relating to any issues raised during the administrative hearing or in post hearing memoranda. Review written applications submitted by tenants, grievants and their legal representatives, if any, seeking to re-open administrative default determinations and opposition papers submitted by NYCHA Law Department, if any. Render written determinations, with legal analyses and findings on such applications. Review documents submitted by NYCHA Law Department in support of requests for default termination or default probation to ensure timely and proper notification to tenants who fail to appear for administrative hearings. Render written determinations on such requests. Review documents submitted by NYCHA Law Department in support of request for dismissal to ensure timely and proper notification to grievants and Section 8 participants who fail to appear for administrative hearings. Render written determinations on such requests. Review written applications submitted by tenants and their legal representatives to remove the condition of permanent exclusion and opposition papers submitted by NYCHA Law Department. Render written determinations on such applications. Review written requests pursuant to Mental Competence Assessment and Guardians Ad Litem, (GM 3742 Revised), to set aside Hearing Officers’ decisions, stipulations of settlement or defaults based upon claims of mental incompetence and opposition papers submitted by NYCHA Law Department. Render written determinations on such requests. Possess an understanding of the effect of Court Orders issued in other forums, upon an administrative proceeding, including but not limited to, an appointment of an Article 81 Guardian pursuant to an Order issued in New York Supreme Court; a stay of an administrative proceeding pursuant to an Order issued in New York Supreme Court; a So-Ordered stipulation between the parties from New York City Housing Court that includes terms indicating vacatur of an apartment; and an Order from New York City Family Court indicating the appointment of a Kinship Guardian for a litigant. Stay current with federal regulations, NYCHA regulations, policy, procedures, forms and relevant caselaw. NOTE: This position is in the Competitive Class and subject to the Civil Service examination requirements of the City of New York. Executive Dean of Teaching and Learning

Description: Reporting to the President, the Executive Dean of Teaching and Learning provides academic leadership of faculty, academic divisions, and the quality of teaching and learning across the institution. As the College’s Chief Academic Officer, the Executive Dean is the chief academic administrator for the College, working in collaboration with members of the Executive Leadership Team and stakeholders across campus, in the SUNY system, and among local businesses and industry partners. The Executive Dean of Teaching and Learning fosters a culture of student success. They will effectively communicate and build positive relationships with all areas of the College to advance institutional priorities. The Executive Dean provides guidance for innovative program changes, teaching and learning development, and the use of new technologies to enhance student experience and faculty development. Responsibilities Leadership and Strategic Management Serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Align academic goals with the mission, values, and strategic direction of the institution. Work with Human Resources and other stakeholders to ensure the Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement is fully implemented by all responsible parties. Partnerships and External Relations Collaborating closely with educational institutions, workforce partners, nonprofit organizations and the broader community to build partnerships and expand educational opportunities and programs. Ensure advisory boards are in place for programs and that they enhance and advance the student learning experience. Act as the primary liaison to SUNY’s Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs, NYSED and other relevant agencies. Qualifications and experience Masters degree in discipline, higher education or related field. A terminal degree is preferred. Teaching experience in higher education, preferably in a Community College setting. 5-7 years progressive experience in higher education. Salary and Benefit Information Salary range is $125,000-$135,000 and will be determined by a variety of factors including experience, education, and training/skills and certification. Cyclotron Engineer I

Cyclotron Engineer I Title | Cyclotron Engineer I Department | Technical Services Reports To | Field Service Engineer Overview The Cyclotron-Support Engineer I is accountable for the safe and routine operation, maintenance, and repair of one or more particle accelerators in SOFIE’s PET radiopharmacy, which manufactures PET diagnostics under 21 CFR 212 guidelines. Additionally, the Cyclotron-Support Engineer I is responsibility for first-line troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment associated with manufacturing, including manipulator arms, lead shielded hot cells, radiosynthesizers, etc. The individual should be capable of independent decision-making abilities for most cyclotron and facility situations and will be called upon to trouble shoot non-routine manufacturing concerns. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate the cyclotron(s) according to proper operating procedures when manufacturing schedule requires (will include night shifts; may include weekend shifts). Perform routine, non-routine, scheduled, and emergency maintenance on the cyclotron(s). Complete documentation related to cyclotron operations per work instructions, including preventative maintenance, repair, and audit logs. Plan and execute accelerator maintenance activities on a schedule determined by the Tech Services management team. Perform diagnosis and repair on the following: Electronic equipment, electro-pneumatic systems, high vacuum systems, deionized chilled water systems, high voltage, target, and high-power RF systems. Provide timely information to supervisors regarding equipment operation and status. As a first-line support, maintain and repair all PET manufacturing equipment at the facility, including lead-shielded hot cells, manipulator arms, radiosynthesizers, etc. With the Facility Manager, oversee the work of all third-party contractors on equipment related to manufacturing. Perform radiation safety duties to SOFIE Radiation Compliance/Environmental Health and Safety Program standards to ensure compliance with all regulations under the Corporate and site RSO. Ensure compliance with all procedures and regulations within the site under the Quality Assurance program as applicable, including participating in exception document reporting (e.g. deviations, corrective and preventative action plans, out-of-specifications, etc.) Provide technical training and support to other employees, Provide after-hours on-call support to the site as needed. Submit all work tickets, time cards, and expense reports in a timely manner. All other duties as required. Qualifications 2 years of cyclotron experience or an Associate Degree in a Technical Discipline required. Working knowledge of digital and analog circuitry required. Able to troubleshoot electronics down to the component level preferred. Ability to understand detailed theory of operation for most accelerator systems preferred. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings required. Knowledge of radiation survey meters required. Experience in diagnosis and repair of equipment failures required. Experience with high voltage training preferred. Knowledge of basic cGMP practices and procedures preferred. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions required. Experience working with radioactive materials required. Ability to climb ladder and stairs, work in protective clothing, operate in confined spaces (i.e. inside or underneath the cyclotron) and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. required. Occupational exposure to ionizing radiation required. Excellent communication skills, ability to be detail-oriented, and dependability required. Experienced in Microsoft Suite required.
