Position Description The Audio Video Security Systems Technician (AVSST) usually works under the direction of an Audio Video Security Systems Technician Supervisor or user agency personnel and may receive technical guidance from a journey-level or higher network systems administrator, telecommunications systems engineer or similar. The AVSST will assist or provide audio and video setups for meetings, press conferences, and special events. They must be able to lift 10 to 25 pounds and on occasion over 25 pounds, regularly use 6-foot and taller ladders, and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and reaching.
