Design & Project Engineer
Job Description Job Description We are currently seeking a Design Engineer - Project Engineer *On-site Only* Why Work Here? “We build careers. We focus on the team. We want you to grow with us.” As our Design Engineer - Project Engineer you will: Generate detailed drawings for shop production (Assembly drawings, machining drawings, and weldment assemblies). Research, plan, and design mechanical, electromechanical, and hydraulic products and systems. Apply design and drafting standards. Apply machine design and engineering practices to incorporate various types of drives both electric and hydraulic. Utilize clear, concise, and grammatically correct verbal and written communication skills. Special Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required. 3 - 7 years of experience required. Proficiency in SolidWorks. Machine design experience. Understanding of weldment drawings and machining tolerances. Good understanding of engineering design concepts and material properties. Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite preferred. Hydraulic power unit design experience preferred. Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office 365, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Ability to receive and retain instructions. Demonstrated ability to manage various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions, and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables. Work Environment: Inside office environment. Average office noise levels. No personal protective equipment is required except for occasional visits to the shop. Physical Requirements: Low physical effort required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, and walk; Typing and reading computer and data entry.
