Practice Info Practice offers a full array of anesthesia services for Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center. Facility is recognized for excellence on a national level and is among the premier teaching hospitals in the United States. Second-largest hospital in Georgia, with 637 licensed beds for medical surgical, cardiac surgery, trauma treatment, and pediatrics. Facility has a Level I Trauma Center, a children's hospital built in 2019, 34 operating rooms and several ancillary suites, and a stand-alone outpatient facility. Practice consists of 16 anesthesiologists and 58 anesthetists, including CRNAs and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs). Care team model focuses on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping to deliver care excellence. Responsibilities Case assignments include General surgery, cardiac, pediatrics, OB and GYN services, ortho, trauma, plastics, ENT, urology, and neurosurgery. Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department. Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Pre-anesthesia assessment. Obtains and/or verifies patient consent. Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient. Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and performance of clinical intervention as needed. Call: 7:00pm-7:00am provides 2 days post call off. Requirements M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine. ECFMG and FLEX. Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
