This role involves direct patient care, medication management, and supporting pharmacy operations with opportunities for professional growth and leadership. Oncology Pharmacist Responsibilities Review and verify provider medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential interactions. Prepare, compound, and dispense medications (oral, IV, topical, enteral) in compliance with protocols and regulations. Monitor patient therapy for efficacy and safety, adjusting regimens in collaboration with providers. Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients. Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence, including during discharge and outpatient encounters. Supervise, mentor, and delegate tasks to pharmacy technicians and support staff.
