Journeyman Electrician
Job Description Job Description You must currently hold a Washington Electrician 01, 02, or 06 license to be considered. This role is primarily assisting electrical trainees with their installations of low voltage lighting systems, with occasional residential electrical upfitting. These positions are with a small residential electrical company. The group dynamic is happy and supportive of each other. The ideal candidate will have a positive personality and attitude to be well incorporated into the current small group. In other words, real team values (not crabs in a bucket) & the ability to work both independently, with coworkers, and under guidance of superiors. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoots and repairs electrical/electronic, instrumentation, including but not limited to programmable controls, AC & DC Drives, power supplies Use electrical testing tools (multimeters, voltage testers, etc.) Work safely, following NEC codes, WAC, LNI & OSHA guidelines Install and troubleshoot wiring, switches, breakers, panels, and other electrical components Meet with customers on-site and document work in our field app Diagnose other issues that may present themselves during interface with customers Advises electrical trainees in operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components Complete any other tasks required to maintain operations as directed Perform other duties as assigned (ex: Collect material for jobs from Home Depot/Platt, very occasionally dig to install landscape lights or set ground rods, etc) Minimum Qualifications: Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Comfortable working on ladders, in crawl spaces & attics, and outdoors in varied weather conditions Able to operate power equipment for cutting, threading, bending, drilling, and grinding Must be self-motivated, responsible, and dependable without close supervision Physical Requirements: Ability to climb in close quarters performing analysis and repair work Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds (ladders mostly) Constantly stand, walk, bend, and move Reach, stretch, and bend to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance and bend or twist the body into unusual positions while working Work outdoors and in hot, cold, rainy weather conditions Work Environment: Drug free environment. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Reliable transportation is necessary to & from job sites around Clark & Cowlitz counties Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM Work Location: In person & only in Clark/Cowlitz county
