Registered Nurse (RN), PACU Job Type: Full-Time 0.8 FTE or 64 hours/pp Schedule: 8-hour Day Shifts w/varying start times between 5:15a and 1:30p On Call: 4 x Call Shifts/6 week schedule Frequently rotates to Pre-op. More about our team Our PACU team supports twelve (12) ORs, providing safe, vigilant post operative care and ensuring smooth, secure patient transitions after anesthesia. How you'll contribute A PACU RN who excels in this role: Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. What we're looking for Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
