Job Description Job Description Wayne County is seeking a qualified full-time attorney admitted to the Bar of the State of New York. This position works in conjunction with and under direct supervision of the County Attorney. • Serves as legal counsel for the County Board of Supervisors and County department heads serving the interests of the County; • Drafts and reviews contracts for the various departments of the County which are proposed for performance of services with or by outside individuals or organizations, or for the purchase of goods and commodities by the County departments; • Represents the County in arguing, and/or arbitrating, disputed employee grievances and disciplinary hearing matters; • Designs plans for case presentation in response to employee grievances/disciplinary matters, and in prosecuting or defending court actions; • Prepares paperwork and maintains file documentation for all assigned cases as necessary; • Interviews potential witnesses for Family Court proceedings, Arbitration proceedings, or civil litigation proceedings; • Researches legal issues which arise, or may arise, at Court hearings or trials, or which may be posed as legal questions at the request of County department heads and employees; • Prepares civil pleadings, Court Petitions, subpoenas, motion papers and related legal documents; • May be involved in any concern of the County which requires legal analysis and formulation of legal opinions or advice; • May be assigned to handle specific aspects of the Office of the County Attorney such as Family Court proceedings, or the legal work of specific departments; • Appears in court and performs other functions at the discretion of, or in the absence of, the County Attorney.

The technician will ensure compliance with DOT standards and internal repair quality expectations. Job Duties: Perform quality repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks per manufacturer specifications. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify damaged, worn, or broken parts. Create and execute job repair plans based on diagnostics, including estimating labor hours and required parts. Diagnose and repair electrical systems, A/C systems, emissions controls, and other diesel engine components. Complete PM services, DOT inspections, and documentation accurately and thoroughly. Use diagnostic software and follow electronic repair procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work area, both on customer sites and in the company vehicle Maintain accurate records for invoicing and warranty claims. Utilize company tools appropriately and maintain a personal tool inventory per company policy. Support and train junior technicians as needed. Adhere to all safety, EPA, and company policies. Work Experience and Qualifications: Experience: 3 years of diesel repair experience; 57 years preferred in fleet, dealership, or mobile technician environments. Education: Certificate from a technical school or equivalent hands-on experience. Certifications (preferred or required): Valid Drivers License DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain) ASE Certifications: T4 (Brakes), T7 (HVAC), T8 (PM) MACS 609 or equivalent mobile A/C certification Skills: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across multiple systems (brake, emissions, electrical, HVAC). Familiarity with repair planning and parts reuse. Proficient in Microsoft Office and diagnostic software. Clear written and verbal communication. Ability to work in physically demanding environments. Work Environment & Physical Demansds: Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, outdoor conditions, high temperatures, cold, humidity, and airborne particles. Regularly requires standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Work is performed primarily on second shift and may require nights/weekends.
