Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year Job description: Mechanical Equipment Installation Field Engineer In support of our client—an industry-leading steel manufacturer—we are seeking a Mechanical Equipment Installation Field Engineer to join their Engineering team at their Bay City, TX facility. This role will work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to support small to large capital expansion and improvement projects throughout the Houston-area region. The ideal candidate will have experience in the analysis, design, implementation, and coordination of industrial manufacturing equipment projects, including installation, decommissioning, and plant equipment layout. Key Responsibilities Justify, manage, install, and successfully close capital investment projects Develop engineering technical specifications required for assigned projects Support purchasing activities, including technical bid analysis and supplier selection Apply strong engineering knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and automation disciplines Support construction, fabrication, and revamp of new and existing equipment Assist TPM teams with small improvement projects as needed Collaborate with manufacturing support teams to drive process improvements Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience in lieu of degree) Minimum 3–5 years of project management experience within engineering or maintenance departments Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing industrial equipment installation projects Preferred experience with electrical, automation, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems General tooling knowledge related to metal machining Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines CAD experience required (AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks) Ability to understand and execute instructions effectively Strong verbal, written, and analytical communication skills Compensation & Benefits Our client offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: Paid Time Off (PTO) and holidays 401(k) Group Medical Insurance Life Insurance Short-Term Disability And more Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Work Location: In person
