Program Manager, Senior San Ramon, CA 12 Months Pay Rate: $ 90 -115 /hour on ONLY SUBMIT LOCAL CANDIDATES CURRENTLY RESIDING IN BAY AREA/WORK LOCATION-SAN RAMON. ASSIGNMENT IS MOSTLY REMOTE HOWEVER SOME INSTANCES WILL NEED TO BE ONSITE FOR COLLABORATION SESSIONS. MOSTLY THESE WILL BE HELD IN BAY AREA HOWEVER MAY BE AS FAR AS ROCKLIN, CA. Periodically though rare to Sacramento This role supports complex, cross functional initiatives focused on improving operational performance, reducing risk, and strengthening execution readiness across Electric Transmission and Distribution Operations. The work requires translating ambiguous problem statements into structured plans, aligning diverse stakeholders, and driving measurable outcomes through disciplined execution. Experience wise as long as they can do the following Lead or support operational improvement initiatives addressing system constraints, asset risk, tooling and resource availability, and process inefficiencies Conduct discovery and analysis to understand current state workflows, roles, data, and pain points Define clear problem statements, success metrics, and prioritization criteria Develop and maintain structured plans (e.g., roadmaps, TIPs, pilots) with defined milestones and ownership Support change management through documentation, communication, and adoption enablement Utility experience always preferential but not required. We program manage everything from tool implementation, operation process overhauls, visual management, Waste elimination efforts etc. Program Manager, Senior: Completes moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions plan and goals. Works independently on most issues. Provides direction on overall program plan and goals. Responsible for most/all deliverables within the program implementation plan. Initiates assigned pilots or process improvements from start to finish. Collaborate cross functionally to solve problems gather information and host working sessions Communicates findings and recommendations to various levels of management. Develops budget forecasts, conducts analysis in support of identifying budget variances and develops solutions to address. Develops new and ad-hoc reports, summarizes findings and recommendations and provides business insight. Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience Experience: 6 years of related experience or equivalent Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Desired: Advanced knowledge of Program/Project Management Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with demanding time constraints. Knowledge and understanding of business drivers. Demonstrated ability to manage or direct teams Ability to work within a Regulatory environment Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects Knowledge of energy industry applications to local level customers, including energy issues, customer energy efficiency applications, and general customer information. Desired: Primarily office environment with extensive use of personal computers, telephone conversations, conference calls and in person meetings. Travel may be required.
