The ideal candidate will have a wealth of knowledge in areas such as marital law, divorce, dissolutions, child custody, parental allocations, alimony, and maintenance. This role demands a strong ability to handle litigation, courtroom trials, mediation, and negotiation with ease and professionalism. Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401K Job Details Responsibilities: As a Family Law Attorney, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Representing clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation. Selecting jurors, arguing motions, meeting with judges, and questioning witnesses during the course of a trial. Studying Constitution, statutes, decisions, regulations, and ordinances of quasi-judicial bodies to determine ramifications for cases. Analyzing the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents. Negotiating settlements of civil disputes. Conducting legal research and gathering evidence. Ensuring the interest of the client is represented properly. Advising clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations. Interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses. Preparing and drafting legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts. Dealing with complex matters such as divorce, child custody, alimony, and parental allocations. Qualifications: To be considered for this role, applicants must have: Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active member of the Illinois State Bar. Minimum of 5 years of experience in family law. Proven background in marital law, divorce, dissolutions, child custody, parental allocations, alimony, and maintenance. Proven litigation skills and experience in the courtroom. Strong negotiation and mediation skills. Excellent legal research and writing skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and cases simultaneously. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. High level of professionalism and confidentiality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
