Prepare and submit daily progress reports, timecards, and material usage logs. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training in construction management preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction plans, and specifications. Proficiency with GPS base stations and equipment control Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and safety. Familiarity with construction techniques, materials, and processes related to earthwork, utilities, grading, paving, and concrete. Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; CDL is a plus. Certifications in OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, or other relevant areas are highly desirable. Skills and Competencies: Excellent leadership and team-building abilities. Review of all contract drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals for coordination of built-in-items. Ensure materials and equipment are released for fabrication or manufactured in time to meet the construction schedule. Oversee all labor and subcontractors; check work as it is being performed to ensure it is accurate and in compliance with accepted standards. Implement and manage weekly safety meetings, relaying safety procedures mandated by company and public safety officials, including OSHA and city governments. Must be able to work well under pressure, particularly when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays. Thorough understanding and knowledge of engineering, architectural and other construction drawings. Maintain blueprints, field books, and other construction documents (i.e. RFIs, NCRs, and Inspection Reports). Prepare daily construction reports, schedules, look-ahead schedules, and maintain close-out records for the project (i.e. as-builts). Collect daily reports from subcontractors and ensure they reflect work performed and the level of employees on site (number of supervisors and trade workers). The report should also include pertinent notes on the project. Coordinate the project manager and project engineer on certified payroll reports. Tasks will include comparing daily reports with their submittals to ensure accuracy. Knowledge of permitting process, inspection procedures, building codes, and ordinances. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
