Aircraft Inertial Alignment System (AIAS) Logistician

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance Travel Requirements: None Location: Norfolk, VA SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for an AIAS Logistician to support production and repair operations associated with AIAS builds. The selected candidate will coordinate logistics and material support activities including scheduling, procurement, receiving, inventory control, kitting, and tracking of assemblies throughout the production and repair lifecycle. This position plays a key role in ensuring material readiness, inventory accuracy, and efficient workflow execution in support of mission-critical Navy systems. Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Coordinate and oversee material handling, ordering, storage, procurement, and supply chain activities within a production environment. Plan and coordinate production schedules to ensure cost efficiency, timeliness, and operational effectiveness. Maintain in-process inventory at designated work centers by staging and delivering required materials. Track and document material movement from initial receipt through repair, refurbishment, and final shipment. Verify materials associated with repair orders and monitor inventory levels to support production requirements. Identify, pull, pack, and crate materials and assemblies for shipment. Prepare shipping documentation and maintain logistics tracking reports, databases, and correspondence. Support government property accountability requirements and lifecycle material management processes. Assist with all AIAS builds including scheduling, procuring, receiving, kitting, and tracking assemblies. Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Three (3) years of professional experience in logistics, supply chain management, or material handling environments. Experience supporting DoD, Navy, or government production, maintenance, or warehouse operations. Experience serving as a warehouse lead, logistics lead, or supervisory role is highly desired. Experience supporting logistics efforts related to electronic or electrical systems repair, installation, acquisition, and distribution of materials and equipment. Two (2) years of experience supporting government property accountability and/or defense lifecycle material management. Experience using inventory tracking systems, logistics databases, or material management tools. Strong organizational, coordination, and documentation skills.
