Ride Operator

Overview: Ride Operators are seasonal and scheduled depending on operational needs with pay up to $12.00 Responsibilities: Ready for a job that will throw you for a loop? Drop into our ride operation team and twist your way to success. Whether you’re launching coasters or safely loading them, you’ll be the one to make the thrills happen! Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure Guest safety and satisfaction during their visit. Enforce all rider restrictions including monitoring and measuring for height requirements. Respond to any emergency situation in the area and maintain control until a Supervisor arrives. Be able to communicate proper hand signals as called for during ride operation. Watch ride and waiting Guests during the ride cycle. Physically check restraints. Assist Guests as they exit the ride. Manually open restraints when necessary. Operate the secondary control panel and visually monitor ride during operation and be prepared to stop the ride during critical situations. Validate Fast Passes at assigned rides and manage merge points to ensure guests are loaded onto the ride in a safe and timely manner. Successfully complete the International Ride Operator Certification (iROC) course through General Rides Training. Complete ride certification tests, corrected to 100% proficiency. Stand at the control panel of the ride and run the ride by pressing appropriate buttons, visually monitoring control panel for flashing lights/solid lights, and be prepared to stop the ride during critical situations. When assigned by a Rides Unit or Section Supervisor - perform test rides to ensure continued safety. Report any unsafe acts to your Unit or Section Supervisor Maintaining all aspects of ride area cleanliness by lining all trash cans with bags, emptying when full, wiping and re-bagging trash cans and carrying a pan and broom to sweep leaves, trash and debris Qualifications: What You Will Need Must be 16 years or older In rides you must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout your shift Excellent verbal communication skills Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to uphold safety policies consistently

Seasonal Maintenance Garage Mechanic

Overview: $21.70/hr The Garage Mechanic is responsible for maintaining company vehicle fleet, and equipment in a safe and reliable condition as directed. They will also respond to guest service calls in a professional and courteous manner and is responsible for various equipment repairs as directed by Foreman. Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on company vehicles or equipment. Operating tow truck for service calls and knowledge and skill to tow vehicles safely. Operating service truck in response to guest issues including vehicle lock outs, flat tires, out of gas, etc. Providing exceptional guest service according to Cedar Point standards when serving the guest, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, or giving directions. Able to perform related automotive and light truck service work as directed. Willing to work any shift or days assigned. Adequate tool selection to perform basic repairs and service work. Knowledge to operate 4 or 8 ton wreckers and ability to tow vehicles safely. Follow all company safety rules and policies, make sure equipment is properly secured before maintenance work is performed. Qualifications: Must have driver's license. High school Graduate or GED. ASE in auto (preferred). Must join laborers union (if necessary). Ability to work in various environmental conditions. May work in confined areas: exposure to chemicals, lubricants and fumes. Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. Overview: Security Guards are seasonal and scheduled depending on operational needs with a pay of up to $15.00 Responsibilities: Rule breakers beware with you on our Public Safety Team. You will spend the summer patrolling Frontier City and conducting security screenings of guest, employees, and vendors while checking everything from guests’ bags to employee badges. You will maintain a safe and secure environment all while securing valuable law experience and rewarding benefits.
