Responsibilities Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and revises the patient's care plan in accordance with physician's orders, patient's needs, and ESCNC Policies and Procedures during intra-operative phase and provides communication from those outside of operating room to those inside operating room. Assures that all documentation is complete and on the patient's chart, for the scheduled procedure. Completes the Safety Checklist prior to entering the OR, during the procedure and after the procedure with signature, date and time. Sets up supplies and medications, ensures that equipment is clean, safe, and functional and completes checklist which is given to the Facility Manager Reports low stock levels to Clinical Nursing Supervisor or Facility Manager. Completes all forms (i.e., labs, tissue, FDA, billing, waiver of liability for visitors) and logs (i.e., tissue, Lens, temperature/humidity) as appropriate. Assures maintenance of sterile technique where appropriate, in surgery and assisting scrub tech and surgeon. Assures patient comfort and safety, including proper positioning and padding. Demonstrates ability to pre-op and recovers patient as needed based on the staffing pattern for the surgical day. Receives brief report from Pre op RN when the patient is taken to the OR, Assists anesthesiologist in transfer of patient to and from OR, Brings chart and any supplies needed for the patient after discharge to the PACU, Gives brief report to PACU RN when taking the patient from the OR to PACU. Cleans the OR after surgery with the CST and sets up room for the next case before assisting with transfer of the next patient to OR. Assists with proper disposal of all needles, sharps, syringes, and other trash; assists with clean-up of O.R. between cases; and at the end of the day, assists in surgery suite preparation for the next day's cases. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Oncology RN, LPN, or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a dedicated healthcare team serving the Midwest region. This full-time, on-site role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple specialties in a dynamic clinical environment. Responsibilities Perform duties within the scope of practice and clinic policies. Assess and document patients' physical, psychological, and social conditions. Ensure pre-authorizations and consent forms are obtained before therapy administration. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records, including symptom management, lab results, treatment plans, and medication administration. Establish treatment priorities based on medical and nursing diagnoses. Document nursing interventions and patient responses. Plan and prioritize work efficiently to meet deadlines. Ensure accurate billing procedures. Prepare for and assist with office procedures. Administer medications as directed and document any adverse effects. Perform procedures such as injections, immunizations, phlebotomy, tympanograms, EKGs, and vision screenings. Make referrals to other providers and facilities as needed. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred; if not currently certified, must obtain within 3 years of hire. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association required. Experience and Skills Minimum of 3 years healthcare experience preferred. Familiarity with Joint Commission regulations and oncology standards. Experience with Epic Electronic Health Records preferred. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and work independently. Strong attention to detail, creativity, and a positive attitude. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to calm and support distressed patients and families.
