Key Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, including processing, tax compliance, benefits administration, and regulatory reporting. Validate payroll data, ensure accurate paysheet creation, and manage calculations for deductions and withholdings. Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Prepare and submit payroll-related reports and filings for government and regulatory bodies. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to streamline processes, enhance system functionality, and implement automation. Lead and develop the payroll team, assigning tasks, overseeing projects, and conducting performance evaluations. Partner with internal and external auditors to facilitate payroll audits and resolve discrepancies. Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of payroll operations. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and business information. Requirements and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field. 9 years of experience in payroll operations or related finance roles. Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance, including Sarbanes-Oxley. Proficiency Peoplesoft is required. What We Look For 7 years of data science, machine learning, advanced analytics experience in high velocity, high-growth companies Extensive experience in applying Data Science / ML in production to build data-driven products for solving business problems. Experience collaborating with and understanding the needs of Senior level stakeholders from a variety of functions including: Engineering, Product, and Technical Operations. Ability to deal with ambiguity in fast paced environments by clarifying requirements and having a keen sense of 0 to 1 solutions. Adept at operating both as an individual contributor and identifying how to orchestrate the build through peers and investments in scalable tooling. Strong coding skills in Python and SQL Experience with distributed data processing systems like Spark and familiarity with software engineering principles around testing, code reviews and deployment. This role exists to deeply understand our customer, own the brand experience across every touchpoint, and ensure our product pipeline and brand strategy are rooted in real customer insight and market intelligence.
