Shift Lead - Fleet

Support Safe and Efficient Transportation Operations. Goodwill Southern California is seeking a Shift Lead – Fleet to support daily transportation operations and provide functional leadership to Class A and bobtail drivers. This working lead helps ensure routes are completed safely, on time, and in alignment with service standards. What You’ll Do Provide daily direction to Class A and bobtail drivers to ensure route completion and safety compliance. Lead shift start-up meetings, communicate goals, and support route coordination. Assist with loading/unloading trailers and securing freight. Monitor workplace organization, cleanliness, and safety practices. Train drivers on safety, customer service, and operational standards. Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment; conduct safety inspections. Drive a bobtail truck when coverage is needed. Maintain accurate records and support documentation for deliveries and inspections. What You Bring 2 years of transportation or warehouse experience; lead experience preferred. Forklift certification required. High school diploma or GED required. Experience operating bobtail trucks; knowledge of Class A operations helpful. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work varied shifts. Valid CA driver’s license and required insurance. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Commitment to safety and Goodwill’s RISE Values. Responsibilities Include the Following: Load and unload coating machine Spraying and coating application procedures Perform any job in the coating department Document coating process information as per SOP Set up and calibrate coating equipment Retrieve fallen lenses from coating machine Confirm coating type and operation procedure Load and unload coating machine Remove any excess coating and perform manual touchup of any areas the coating machine Weigh coating ingredients as per formula in order to prepare coating solution/color solution Operate and clean all coating and solution preparation equipment used in the coating operation Document coating process information as per SOP Prepare coating solution/color solution Perform any job in the coating department Perform product changeovers to the coating machine Work on the pipe coating line department Make any machine adjustments necessary during the coating Recommend process maintenance schedules for all coating equipment Differentiating coating color on coated coupon or parts Troubleshooting technical coating issues in all regional facilities Qualifications Include the Following: Must have recent, relevant work experience within the past 1-3 years Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds consistently Must be at least 18 years old and able to show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening Schedule: Monday-Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm If interested, please call 209-577-3663

WPEC is looking for a Meteorologist to present the weather forecast for 3 days a week and weekends. As our Meteorologist you are responsible for the content of the weather cast on-air and on our digital platforms. The main day to day responsibilities of the role will include… Forecasting, Producing and Presenting clear and concise weather casts, which tell a story and connect with viewers Issue warnings and alerts, produce graphics and maps, and report live during weather events Utilize social media during severe weather, as well as write weather stories Make public appearances on behalf of the station Work with producers to determine relevant weather content in breaking and everyday situations What skills do you need to be successful in our role?
