Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 per year A bit about us: We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Controller to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and improving our organization's financial performance, direct financial planning and strategy, manage risk, establish and maintain financial policies and procedures, and ensure the company's accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Must have Agricultural experience. Why join us? 401k small team/environment bonus great health coverage Job Details Responsibilities: As a Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for: 1. Overseeing all financial and accounting functions including budgeting, asset management, cost management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. 2. Developing and implementing financial strategies, financial planning, and forecasting. 3. Providing leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives. 4. Ensuring credibility of the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts. 5. Evaluating and advising on the impact of long-range planning, and introduction of new programs/strategies. 6. Managing processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation, and reporting to the company. 7. Directing and overseeing all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization. 8. Providing executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities. 9. Providing recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities. 10. Ensuring effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: 1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position. 2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA would be a plus. 3. Proven experience in the agricultural business sector. 4. Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. 5. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team. 6. Strong analytical skills and experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. 7. Ability to develop and implement financial systems and processes. 8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 9. Strong understanding of checks and balances in the financial system. 10. Proficiency in accounting software and related tools. 11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
