Job Description & Requirements Emergency Medicine Physician StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $266.75 - $288.75 This facility is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need. Details & requirements for this opportunity: Annual volume: 29,000 Physician shift times: 24 hour coverage; 12 hour shifts Advanced Practice coverage: To be determined Back up specialties: To be determined Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech Certification required: Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine board certification, active Florida license, Drug Enforcement Administration license Facility Location Okeechobee is a city with a long name which has a lake by the same name that surrounds it, also known as “The Big O”. Lake Okeechobee is the largest freshwater lake in Florida. There is a famous National Scenic trail nearby the Lake which is well-maintained, with a paved pathway along the perimeter, used by hikers and bicyclists, and wide enough to accommodate special vehicles.
