Job Details Looking for a Commercial Sheet Metal Mechanic. Primary Purpose Fabricate, assemble, and install all types of sheet metal products and equipment for commercial and industrial settings. Work may include set-up and operation of shop fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal. Assist and lead in installing sheet metal ductwork and supporting systems used for heating, air conditioning, or other purposes. Essential Functions Installs and repair ductwork and sheet metal components per plans, specifications and contract Installs joints of duct such as slide and drive, TDF, snap lock, and other assemblies as required Installs equipment such as air handling units, VAV boxes, fan power boxes, and other systems used in commercial & industrial construction Ensure safety is a priority during all work activities, including using hand tools Determines project requirements, such as scope, assembly sequences, required methods, materials, using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal instructions Inspect completed work to ensure precision, quality and compliance with project standards.
