Pre-Surgical Screening Clerk (PRN)

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION To provide that patients scheduled for surgery at BVH are pre-registered accurately and appointments made for pre surgery testing as needed. Maintain logbooks, assemble charts, monitor and file outside documents received, and answer phone calls. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Duty 1: Demonstrates flexibility in work schedule to accommodate the screening process needs of patient’s scheduled appointments. Duty 2: Provides comprehensive collection of data from physician’s offices to allow patients to move through the pre-surgical process in a comprehensive manner. Duty 3: Maintains office supplies in a cost effective manner to ensure adequate quantities for departmental use.
