Assistant Director of Nursing RN Unit Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards, and guidelines related to employment with Westminster Services and its communities. Direct and supervise, on assigned unit, the daily functions of the nursing staff in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the Skilled Nursing Facility. Manage quality and accuracy of the EHR for all residents and staff under your oversight. Manage and improve unit-based performance metrics that are reported by the facility i.e. (Falls, FAPU, QMs, Re-hospitalizations, etc.). If designated by the DON and Infection Prevention Certified, functions as the Infection Preventionist responsible for coordinating the infection prevention and control program as required by state/federal regulations. Responsible for the quality of resident admissions, transfers, and discharges. Participate in the orientation of new residents/family members to the unit. Complete daily clinical and environmental rounds to evaluate resident care and report significant events. Assists in the monitoring of psychotropic medication use, including but not limited to behavioral monitoring, obtaining consents, monitoring for side effects and follow-up as needed. Address resident/family issues in a timely manner. Report significant issues to the Director of Nursing. Communicate with health care practitioner to review treatment plans, complete orders, progress notes, etc., in accordance with established policies. Oversee the completion of accident/incident reports involving residents. Report to risk management for further follow-up as needed. Complete Recapitulations each month for physician signature. Report all discrepancies to DON. Ensure that an adequate supply of floor stock medications, supplies, and equipment are available to meet resident care needs. Conduct employee performance evaluations. Make recommendations to the DON concerning employee discipline, dismissal and/or transfers. QC Inspector II

Inspector position exists to effectively assure vendor & manufacturing compliance to Thorlabs ISO9001 quality standards protecting customers. Inspectors perform visual and dimensional inspection of precision parts and make quick, accurate pass/fail decisions on many types of optics including filters, mirrors, crystals, prisms, lenses, assemblies, as well as, mechanical components used in conjunction with optical components. Although the location of the position is in Rochester, NY, from time to time it may be required to undertake duties at other Thorlabs locations.
