Job Summary: The Finishing Process Engineer serves a critical role in support of manufacturing to ensure processes are in control and continually improved with respect to safety, quality, productivity, and cost. These processes include leveling, washing, slitting, coating and packaging of aluminum coil products. The responsibilities include but are not limited to: o Ensure the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the Golden Aluminum Quality Management System (QMS) to achieve departmental and GAI Quality Objectives. o Support the Coating and Finishing processes including specific duties in: o Oversight and improvement of product quality, safety, productivity, and cost. o Maintenance of Process FMEAs and effective application of Control Plans. o Work with external providers to improve processes. o Control of Coating Line quality and maximization of yield. o Control of Tension Leveler and Slitter quality and maximization of yield. o Ensuring correct coil traceability through all area operations. o Leading and driving effective Corrective and Preventive Action. o Periodic written and verbal reporting. o Creation and maintenance of Work Procedures and Instructions. o Daily communication of issues and opportunities to upstream and downstream operations. o Daily communication and follow up with Maintenance and Engineering on equipment issues and opportunities. o Internal procedural and process audits as assigned. o Participation in External Audits as assigned. o Customer interaction as assigned. o Training of area personnel in procedures and standards. o Other reports, projects or tasks as assigned. How You’ll Make an Impact: Leverage tools and technology (including tablet and mobile phone apps) to conduct customer visits and recommend unique programs and solutions to customers Communicate our total value to the customer to meet their needs and grow sales within existing customer accounts Use your problem-solving skills to conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on laundry and dish machines, dispensing equipment, and systems Provide emergency service to existing customers via phone or in person, as needed Assist in the installation of equipment and solutions Demonstrate safe equipment use, ensuring your customers' operations are fully functional Manage equipment, parts, and inventory to control costs Position Details: This is a field-based position and may require travel to the following locations and surrounding areas: Saint Joseph, MO During your training program, you will be required to travel to Ecolab Corporate Headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota for 2 of the 12 weeks. The remaining weeks will be in-field training. Ecolab will arrange and pay for your travel and certain travel-related expenses. You are responsible for having the proper documentation to fly such as a Real ID or other acceptable form of identification. After completing an initial training program, you will be managing, servicing, and selling to established customers including restaurants, hotels, schools, long-term care facilities, and more within an assigned territory. In some cases, where a territory is not immediately available, associates will be assigned a supporting role until a territory assignment becomes available. Annual or Hourly Compensation Range The total Compensation range for this position is $58,700-$88,100 which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms.
