Senior Industrial Engineer

Jabil is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to work in our Richardson, TX site. How will you make an impact? As a Senior Industrial Engineer with Jabil, you will plan, design, implement, and manage production and service systems to ensure performance, reliability, quality, cost control, and schedule adherence. This role drives profitability, operational effectiveness, continuous improvement, and the delivery of high-quality products and services throughout their lifecycle. What will you do? Propose and drive cross-functional projects mainly within a work cell. Develop Time standards for process steps to be used in the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB). Gather and analyze Industrial Engineering metrics for assigned customers or areas. Coordinate layout and facility move(s) for assigned customer or area(s). Collect, analyze, and review IEDB data to ensure accuracy and compliance with the standard process. Monitor the SAP and Manufacturing Execution System configurations and ensure compliance with the standardized system configurations. Gather and/or develop data for quotes. Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the Industrial Engineering team. Support and/or maintain all lower-level Industrial Engineering essential duties and responsibilities. Ensure the standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site in accordance with the global, regional, and site direction. Support the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity in order to support process improvement throughout the organization. Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy. Develop quotations and schedules for their portions of design, with little or no assistance. Provide onsite technical support for all manufacturing builds including engineering prototypes, NPI & production releases. Stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide designs that are competitive and cost-effective. Develop and design mechanical layouts and drawings using standard 3D CAD tools. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. How will you get here? Education & Experience: Bachelors in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics or other similar related industry. A minimum of 8 years of experience in an Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role OR other combination of education or experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: MS Suite experience including Outlook, Visio and Project required. AutoCAD skills required. Understanding and application of broad range of industrial engineering tools (i.e. Work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research, etc.). Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous improvements and cost reduction programs.
