Plumbing and HVAC Technician
Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled Plumbing/HVAC Technician to join our team. As a plumbing and HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Must have a strong background in plumbing and construction, demonstrating proficiency in various tasks related to installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively on construction sites while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Your expertise in appliance repair, plumbing, and equipment repair will be essential in providing high-quality service to our clients. Responsibilities: - Install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems - Knowledge/experience in plumbing (commercial, industrial and residential) - Inspect and perform maintenance on existing HVAC systems - Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and malfunctions - Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring - Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of HVAC systems - Test system performance and ensure proper functioning - Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns - Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used - Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, industrial and commercial properties. - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine plumbing layouts. - Perform pipe threading and connect various types of pipes using appropriate tools and techniques. - Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various plumbing tasks. - Conduct routine inspections of plumbing and HVAC systems to identify issues or necessary repairs. - Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and general contractors on projects. - Ensure all work complies with local building codes and regulations. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements: - Proven experience as a plumbing and HVAC Technician or similar role - Strong knowledge of plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems - Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings - Proficient in appliance repair, plumbing, welding, and equipment repair - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Good communication and customer service skills - Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks. - Experience with heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment. - Ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction sites. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in executing plumbing installations and repairs. - Certification in HVAC and/or plumbing preferred. - 3-5 years experience preferred - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record with reliable transportation required - Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Salary: $18.00-$35.00 per hour based on experience Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week Schedule: Varies (Start time is typically between 6-8am) Schedule: 8 hour shift 10 hour shift 12 hour shift Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
