What You'll Need Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program. Active unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in state of practice. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Physician Assistant certification required. Active applicable Controlled Substance Registration/License/Certification in state of practice. Active DEA license required. Active CPR certification required. Experience in psychiatric diagnosis and medication management (Correctional experience preferred).
