Description POSITION SUMMARY: Registers and interviews patients, obtain accurate demographic and financial information and check for medical necessity for all Medicare patients. Responsible for competently handling and processing all laboratory specimens, ensuring specimen integrity by adhering to laboratory procedures to include receipt, data entry, storage and delivery of specimens to testing areas. Job Summary: The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the management and coordination of care for the acute inpatient population.
