EDM Machinist

As part of our precision manufacturing team, you'll play a crucial role in producing high-complexity R&D and low-volume parts for aerospace, energy, and defense customers. The Work You’ll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up and operate Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, and Fast Hole EDM machines Program machines using G-code , with Mastercam and NX as needed Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and job routers to meet tolerances as tight as ±0.0005” Machine aerospace-grade materials including Inconel, Hastelloy, Titanium, and 17-4 PH Measure parts using calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, and portable CMMs Track jobs and document work in Epicor ERP system Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and leadership to meet quality and delivery targets Participate in mandatory overtime as needed, including weekends ️ Machines, Controls & Software You’ll work with equipment such as: Machines: Mitsubishi EDMs (Wire, Sinker, Fast Hole) Controls: Mitsubishi / Fanuc CAM Software: Mastercam, Siemens NX Inspection Tools: Portable CMM, micrometers, bore gauges, calipers Materials You’ll Work With Inconel Hastelloy 17-4 PH stainless Titanium Other aerospace-grade alloys ✅ What We’re Looking For Required: 3–5 years of experience in EDM machining (Wire, Sinker, Fast Hole) Proficiency in G-code programming (Mastercam or NX a plus) Strong understanding of setups, tooling, and fixturing Experience reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T Comfortable holding tight tolerances and inspecting parts Self-motivated, professional, and team-oriented Preferred: Aerospace or R&D environment experience Familiarity with Epicor ERP or similar Ability to work across multiple EDM machine types Why Machinists Like Working Here Machinists choose Aerodyn because: Clean, organized, climate-controlled shop Modern EDM equipment and precision tools Low-volume, high-complexity jobs — no mass production Consistent overtime opportunities Clear path to grow into programming or technical leadership roles Team culture that values innovation, expertise, and craftsmanship Pay, Benefits & Schedule Pay Range: $31.00 – $40.00/hour (based on experience) Shift Premium: 10% for 2nd shift Overtime: Available and encouraged Benefits: 90% employer-paid medical premiums (including family plans) Vision, dental, life insurance, and short-term disability 401(k) with up to 4% company match (vests after 90 days) 2–3 weeks vacation (negotiable), plus 9 paid holidays Up to $5,000 relocation reimbursement (with 1-year commitment) Schedule: 1st Shift: Flexible daytime hours 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (M–F) shift premium Overtime: Weekdays and weekends as needed Apply Now Ready to bring your EDM skills to a team that values precision and innovation?
