Medical Assistant, Primary Care Float Pool Under the direction of the Primary Care Operations team, the Full Time Float Pool Medical Assistant provides clinical and operational support to Mercy Primary Care clinics across South County and South St. Louis. Working closely with Mercy primary care providers and the care team, the Medical Assistant delivers safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient centered care. This role partners with patients, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to support quality outcomes, continuity of care, and clinic efficiency. All duties are performed in alignment with Mercy's Mission, Values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details: Medical Assistant Full Time, Monday - Friday Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Watson Clinic OR South County Resource Pool South St. Louis Area Join a fast paced, flexible role that allows you to work across multiple primary care clinics, gain diverse clinical experience, and make a difference wherever you're needed most. Qualifications: MA Certification Not Required Primary Care Assistant - Medical Assistant: Education: High School Diploma or GED. Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire . Preferred Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office. Primary Care - Certified Medical Assistant: Education: High School Diploma or GED. Certification: Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA). Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Responsibilities include: • Support primary care providers by coordinating patient care and ensuring a positive patient experience. • Room patients, obtain vitals, complete intake, medication reconciliation, and Epic documentation. • Perform in office testing, administer injections/vaccines, and assisted with procedures. • Support preventive care through screenings, care gap closure, referrals, and follow up scheduling. • Assist with orders, prior authorizations, inventory, and general clinic operations.
