Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management Identify, evaluate, and qualify vendors to meet quality, cost, and delivery standards. Negotiate pricing and contractual terms for raw materials, components, or packaging services. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure favorable agreements and long-term collaboration. 2. Purchase Order Management Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery. Monitor order statuses, manage exceptions, and coordinate with internal teams to address discrepancies. Track supplier performance metrics such as lead time, quality, and delivery adherence. 3. Cost Control & Process Improvement Analyze spend data, identify opportunities for cost savings, and implement sourcing strategies. Support process optimization—including strategic vendor consolidation and demand forecasting—to improve efficiency and reduce expenses. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with product development, quality assurance, production, and logistics teams to align procurement with project needs. Assist in updating documentation for audited supply chains, including maintaining supplier certifications, quality records, and compliance documentation. 5. Market Intelligence Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and industry developments to recommend sourcing strategies proactively. Coordinate contingency plans to mitigate supply risks (e.g., supplier disruptions or material shortages). ________________________________________ Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, or related field preferred. 2–5 years of hands-on experience in sourcing, procurement, or buyer roles—ideally within manufacturing, packaging, or a regulated production environment. Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and supplier relationship management skills. Familiarity with contract manufacturing, supply chain protocols, and regulatory compliance. Analytical proficiency with experience in cost analysis and procurement data insights. Highly organized, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. ________________________________________ Preferred Attributes: Experience in supplement or food manufacturing, especially with contract manufacturing or packaging processes. Understanding of quality systems (e.g., cGMP, FDA compliance—general industry knowledge, non-specific). Proficient in procurement or ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
